This policy explains what personal data we collect in Kenya, why we collect it and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
What we collect
Account data: name, email address, phone number, role (seeker, owner, agent, agency, developer) and profile details you provide.
Listing data: property details, photographs, location and contact details you choose to publish.
Usage data: pages viewed, searches run, listings viewed, enquiries sent, device and approximate location derived from your IP address.
How we use it
To publish your listings, deliver enquiries to advertisers, operate search, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, and send service and (where you have opted in) alert emails.
We do not sell personal data.
Sharing
When you send an enquiry, your name, contact details and message are shared with the advertiser so they can reply.
We use service providers for hosting, email delivery, analytics and error monitoring, who process data on our instructions.
Your rights
You may access, correct, delete or export your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent to marketing at any time from your account settings or by contacting support.
Every alert email includes an unsubscribe link.
Retention and security
We keep personal data only as long as needed to operate the marketplace or to meet legal obligations, and protect it with access controls, encryption in transit and row-level database security.
